The West Virginia Rural Health Association, in conjunction with the West Virginia Rural Health Education Partnerships and West Virginia Area Health Education Centers, is sponsoring a series of community health forums this summer throughout the state.
A forum for the north central portion of the state will be held on August 28 from 1-3 p.m. at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.
The purpose of the forum is to bring health care professionals and community members together to discuss and prioritize health care concerns for their communities. Topics might include access to health care, health insurance, reimbursement issues for providers, access to mental health services, and the use of technology in health care. The results from the seven planned forums throughout the state will be compiled and presented during the West Virginia Rural Health Conference October 23-25, 2007 at Glade Springs Resort.
The forum will be facilitated by Dr. Gail Bellamy and Johnna Beane from the Institute for Health Policy Research. Participation in the program is free and open to the public subject to space limitations. Refreshments will be provided.
Please respond by Monday, August 20th to Rhonda Miller, Northern WV Rural Health Education Center via phone (304) 462-6465, e-mail Rhonda.Miller@glenville.edu or fax (304) 462-6466 in order to reserve your seat at the Parkersburg forum. |
