The annual Creston Homecoming was held Sunday at the Creston School turned community center, a restored facility that stands as a pillar in the rural village, a product of lots of fundraisers and volunteer work hours.
Creston is fading quickly, a faint image of its former self, a once bustling riverboat town, logging center and business community along the Little Kanawha River.

About 50 folks showed up looking at old pictures, reminiscing, and visiting with friends from long ago.
The Creston School dates back to the 1920s.
