| An elderly Braxton County couple died Tuesday night in a house fire at Strange Creek.
The blaze broke out at around 10:30 p.m. at the home of Victor and Irene Lambert, both 88 years old.
The state Fire Marshal's Office is investigating, the cause of the blaze is currently undetermined.
The bodies have been transported to the state Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy and positive identification.
