BODY FOUND ON BACK PORCH - Police say a neighbor found the body of Jason Vananzi this week on the back porch of his house on Larchmont Drive in Charleston.

Police say he may have been beaten and shot at least once in the head.

They said it appears someone had been searching through his house.

The death of the 35-year-old has left the community shaken.

BLUEFIELD CONVENIENCE STORE CLERK KILLED - A Bluefield convenience store clerk is dead following an armed robbery at the Joy Food Mart.

Police say the store was robbed and the man working in the store was killed.

Police aren't saying if anyone else was in the store at the time of the robbery or what sort of weapon was used in the murder.

SECOND SUSPECT CHARGED - A second suspect is facing charges in the fatal shooting of a South Carolina man in Fairmont.

Police have charged 22-year-old Donnell D. Lee of Martinsburg with conspiracy to commit murder.

The suspect was already in custody at the North Central Regional Jail on unrelated charges.

Twenty-three-year-old Lincoln Stuart Taylor of Huttonsville was arrested earlier this month.

Authorities say Lee, Taylor and a third suspect, Lafayette Jenkins, conspired to kill 22-year-old Derrick Osborne of Columbia, South Carolina.

Osborne died after being shot several times on May 28th. A criminal complaint says Taylor allegedly was the shooter.

Police are still searching for Jenkins.

TWO TEENS ARRESTED IN SHOOTING - Police arrested two teenagers in Huntington after an early morning shooting at Harris Riverfront Park.

The incident happened about 5:40 a.m., according to a Huntington Police Department.

The police report states two teenagers were attempting to sell counterfeit crack cocaine at the park, when one of them fired a weapon from the vehicle.

Patrol units tried to stop a 1998 Ford Windstar, but a chase ensued once the van refused to pull over. The pursuit ended with the van crashing.

Police arrested a 16-year-old from Ashland, KY and Alexander L. Frieson, 18, of Whitesville, WV, according to the report.
