The 40th annual West Virginia Molasses Festival continues today at the West Fork Community Park in Arnoldsburg.
The festival will include all the traditional events, molasses making demonstrations, exhibits, pancake supper, chicken barbecue, crowning of the King and Queen, Pretty Baby Contest, and the Grand Parade, to name a few.
Other events will include a "Greased Pig" Round-Up, Rubber Ducky Race, lots of music and jam sessions, and games for the kids.
The country Store will have everything from handmade quilts to homemade soap, by local artisans, sold in the tradition of old-fashioned store keepers.
"We hope everyone will join us for a time of homecoming, renewing friendships and just having fun," said Linda McCartney, Chairperson.
** "Recipes from the Heart" - West Virginia Molasses Festival Cookbook will be sold during the festival.
