Calhoun native Dick Sturm, now of Ravenswood, was caught by the camera
yesterday attending a family reunion at Mt. Zion. Sturm has been the head
coach at Ravenswood High "Red Devils" for five years, having taught and
coached in the system for thirty-five years.
Sturm talked of playing football under Wayne Underwood, getting a real taste
for the game. Growing up on Phillip's Run, he was the son of Lennis Sturm,
who operated a grocery store on the creek during the 1950's.
One thing is for sure, "The Red Devils will win at Wayne Underwood Field" at
the end of this years season.
