| Many Calhouners attend the Fourth of July events in Spencer.
Spencer's celebration of Independence Day will end with its traditional fireworks display launched from the hill above Wal-Mart.
The fireworks will begin at approximately 10 p.m.
The city pool will offer free admission on the 4th from noon until 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to pool manager Chris Atkins.
Several special activities are planned at the pool including diving for coins, a water balloon toss, relay races and a tug of war. The games for different age groups will take place during breaks and prizes will be awarded. There will also be music.
