Burlin O. Minney, 74 of Orange Park, Fla., formerly of Rosedale, W.Va., died
June 18, 2007, at Orange Park Medical Center.
He was born June 22, 1932 at Rosedale, a son of the late Oye and Minnie
Barton Minney.
He was a retired CSX dispatcher with 40 years of service; a past Master of
the Masonic Lodge; a member of the Ridgewood Baptist Church, Orange Park, and
an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers
and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Clarace Whitesel Minney; son Blaine Minney of
Charleston, W.Va., daughter Stephany Drummond of Hobbs, N.M.; sisters Macel
Lanter of Phoenix, Ariz., and Agnes Hullman of Oberlin, Ohio; as well as four
grandchildren.
Services were held on Sunday, June 24, 2007, at the Richard M. Roach Funeral
Home in Gassaway, with the Reverend Mark Stump officiating. Burial with
military and Masonic graveside rites will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery in
Gassaway.
