| Charles E. Boggs, Jr., 52, of Grantsville, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord, June 21, 2007.
He was born May 8, 1955 in Elyria, Ohio, son of the late Charles E. and Patricia Umstead Boggs.
He was a 1974 graduate of Calhoun County High School, and as a young man he worked as a flagman for the State Road.
Chuck did volunteer work for the Muscular Dystrophy Association while in Tucson, Arizona. He never stopped hoping that a cure would be found for the disease that took his life.
Survivors include his uncle and aunt, Bill and Donna Umstead of Mt. Zion, WV; his aunt, Mary Umstead of Mathias, WV; his uncle and aunt, Richard and Eugenia Umstead Husar of Mesa, Arizona; his uncle Clyde Boggs of Pineville, WV; and several cousins.
Chuck expressed the wish to be an organ donor, and was able to give a special gift to over 200 people.
A memorial service and burial will be announced at a later date.
