Hunter Huffman, 96, of Mt. Hope, West Virginia, formerly of Grantsville, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Hilltop Center Nursing Home in Oak Hill, WV.
Hunter was born May 14, 1911, in Calhoun County, a son of the late Art and Lacy Wilson Huffman. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church, where he taught the Adult Sunday School class for over 30 years. He retired from Southeastern Gas Co. in 1973.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah Knight Huffman; children, Bob (Pat) Huffman of Wooster, Ohio, Sandra (Jim) Reedy of Mt. Hope, Ronnie (Pat) Huffman of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Roger (Cheryl) Huffman of Waverly, WV; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jessie Kight of Dunbar, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hale; sister, Edith (Edo) of Grantsville; and a grandson, Eric Reedy.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with the Rev. Jess Waggoner officiating. Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery, Grantsville.
