TWO SHOT IN CAR AT LOST CREEK - A Preston County man has been charged after allegedly shooting two people in Lost Creek.

Authorities say both victims are in stable condition at area hospitals.

Stacy Ash, age 24 from West Milford and 53-year old Ricky Barnes from Weston drove themselves to a general store in Lost Creek after they had been shot.

Police caught up to 59-year-old Denzil Fender from Kingwood around the Rice's Run area of Harrison County, not far from where the shooting happened.

Fedner has been charged with two counts of malicious wounding and one count each for wanton endangerment and possession with the intent to deliver cocaine.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting. They did say Fender did have drugs in his possession and there was alcohol at the home where the shooting happened.

He is being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.

MAN BRANDISHED MACHETE AT TROOPER - A West Virginia state trooper said he was threatened by a Clendenin man wielding a machete.

Kevin Scott Dye was arrested and charged with obstructing an officer and brandishing a weapon.

Dye threatened trooper D.R. White while the officer was running a license check.

White said he ordered Dye to drop the weapon, which he did, and then made the arrest.

He was taken to South Central Regional Jail.
