Holders can now legally carry their firearms in six other states.
Calhoun could have the largest number of concealed permits per capita in the state.
The Legislature changed state law earlier this year to allow the attorney general rather than the governor to negotiate reciprocity agreements.
Attorney General Darrell McGraw's office says it has secured agreements with North Carolina, Ohio, Florida and South Dakota.
Kentucky and Virginia already recognized concealed weapon permits issued in West Virginia.
McGraw says his office is working to secure agreements with other states, including Michigan, Montana, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Vermont.
