Fourth graders at Pleasant Hill Elementary were honored at a recognition banquet on May 31.
Parents, family members and staff were invited to attend the event and quite a turn-out it was! A feast with ham and all the trimmings including homemade bread and desserts galore was enjoyed by all who attended.
A reflection DVD prepared by teachers Jan Whited and Kristi Ritchie showcased the year's events and was set to music. The end of the DVD included pictures of the students in years past to allow students, parents and teachers to reminisce a bit before awards were handed out. Numerous awards were given to students with outstanding accomplishments.
The banquet concluded with the presentation of diplomas promoting students on to Calhoun County Middle-High School.
Students would like to take this opportunity to thank their teachers, Mrs. Kristi Ritchie and Mrs. Jan Whited, for all of their hard work and making their 4th grade year one to remember.
