State Director Robert M. Steptoe, III, has announced that Rural Development approved a Rural Business Enterprise Grant in the amount of $95,000 for Braxton County Development Authority.
Rural Development funds will be used to complete the build-out of the first floor of the existing Braxton Technology Center.
The completed space will be used as a small technology business incubator. The West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation will lease and then sub-lease the space to eligible businesses.
"This project is expected to result in creating seven jobs and assisting seven businesses, helping fulfill Rural Development's mission of increasing economic opportunity and improving the quality of life for all rural Americans," remarked Steptoe.
