| Russell Ray Wehrle, 40, of Spokane, Washington, formerly of Nitro, died Monday, May 7, 2007, at his home, after a short illness.
He was an eight year resident of Spokane and a 1984 graduate of Nitro High School, Nitro. He had formerly been employed as a laborer and a nursing assistant. Also, he had recently been ordained as a Wesleyan pastor.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Joyce M. and Harry L. Hawkins of Chloe; father, Richard R. Wehrle of Charleston; brothers, Richard R. Wehrle of Nashville, TN and Harry L. Hawkins, III of Chloe; maternal grandparents, Russell and Freda Naylor of Luling, LA; paternal grandmother, Lena Wehrle of Charleston.
His paternal grandfather, Norman J. Wehrle, preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Orma United Methodist Church, Orma. Burial will be in the Josiah "Si" Jarvis Cemetery, Oka.
