Born at Minnora, he was a son of the late George and Anna Siers Bailey. He was a Teamster, an oil field worker and farmer and was a Protestant by faith.

Surviving Mr. Bailey are three sons, Basil Bailey of Congress, Ohio, Hollie Bailey of Milton, WV and Delmar Bailey of Minnora; a daughter, Mrs. Myrl Bailey of Newton, WV; sixteen grandchildren; tewnty-six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Badgett Bailey in 1985; four infant children; his parents; a great grandchild; five sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Reverend Robert Keen will officiate. Interment will be in the Clark Jarvis Cemetery, Chloe, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
