Twenty-eight members of the Spring 2007 Glenville State College
graduating class have earned high honors for their efforts. At a
minimum they have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 (out
of 4.0)
Glenville State College President Peter Barr and his wife, Betsy,
hosted a small gathering at their home Tuesday evening in honor
of the student's accomplishments.
President Barr presented the students with bright yellow sashes
signifying the accomplishment. The sashes will be worn as part
of the graduate's cap and gown attire during Saturday's graduation
ceremonies. The program is slated to begin at 10 a.m. in the
Jesse R. Lilly, Jr. Gymnasium.

Dr. John Taylor visits with honor graduate Lindsey Hines, who
will graduate with a BA in Elementary Education, specializing
in English 5-9. Lindsey graduated from Lewis County High School in 2003
50-Year Graduates are Friday Guests
As part of commencement week, Glenville State
College is honoring its 50-year graduates - the Class
of 1957.
Bus tours of the campus will be offered Friday afternoon. A
reception is scheduled at 5:15 at the President's home,
followed by a 6 p.m. dinner in the ballroom of the
Alan B. Mollohan Campus and Community Center.
The Class of 1957 will be recognized during
Saturday's commencement.
