Two students are accused of having a gun at Braxton County High School at Flatwoods.
State Police say a 16-year-old boy brought a 22-caliber semi-automatic handgun to school last week to show it to 18-year-old Jeremy Dennison of Frametown.
The juvenile, whose name isn't being released, brought the gun back the next day and sold it to Dennison.
Both students have been arrested after authorities received an anonymous tip and found the unloaded gun hidden in an abandoned building.
Police say Dennison hid it there on his way home from school.
Dennison is in Central Regional Jail on two felony charges - possession of a deadly weapon at an educational facility and conspiracy to possess a deadly weapon.
The younger boy is being held at a juvenile facility, facing the same charges, plus a charge of misdemeanor petit larceny.
Superintendent Carolyn Long says both students have been removed from school for the rest of this year and maybe longer.
