Champion Fiddler, Jake Krack of Nicut, West Virginia is offering fiddle lessons beginning June 2007.
Jake, has spent the last seventeen years learning from the old master fiddlers Melvin Wine, Lester McCumbers, Bobby Taylor and others. He has recorded nine CDs and co-produced Lester McCumber's CD, as well as the new Smithsonian Folkways recording, Classic Old-Time Fiddle.
Jake as been first place winner at the Vandalia Fiddle Contest, Appalachian String-Band Festival, Mt. Airy Fiddlers Convention, Glenville State Folk Festival, to name only a few of his accomplishments.
He has appeared on CNN, National Public television and radio, and has been featured in the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune.
He was the 2001 Tamarack Performer of the Year, and has performed at Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival, the Chicago Folk Festival and Merlefest.
