Anna Elizabeth Valentine, 85, of Big Springs, W.Va., died April 28, 2007, at Pine View Continuous Care, Harrisville.
She was born June 24, 1923, at Leatherbark, W.Va., the daughter of the late Harrison and Roxie Evans. Anna was a homemaker and Baptist by faith.
She is survived by four sons, Cecil Taylor of Stuart, Fla., Leonard Taylor of Walla Walla, Wash., Denver Taylor of Gloucester, Va., and Floyd "Gene" Taylor of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Betty Clifton of Wheeling, W.Va.; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and 10 step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Valentine; one son, Michael G. Taylor; four brothers, Thomas, Denver, Orval and James Evans; and one step grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Pastor Robert Perine officiating. Burial will follow in the Ayers Cemetery, Smithville. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
