Police have identified the victims of a fatal car crash early Saturday morning near Clendenin.
Tommy Ditito, 42, and Amy Cummings, 27, both of Walton, died when their 1995 Ford Aerostar van went out of control, struck an embankment and went into a creek, said John Shackelford of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.
The crash happened at about 1:10 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Spencer and Doctors Creek roads, Shackelford said.
The van was going west on the Spencer Road (US 119), he said.
The Kanawha Sheriff's Department is reconstructing the accident to see if speed and alcohol were factors.
