The Upper West Fork Volunteer Fire Department got a boost this week
with a $10,000 grant to bring their fire station into compliance.
Department officer Debbie Metheney said the money will bring the
building up to fire code standards, do finish work and install fire
doors.
Delegate Bill Stemple presented the check to the department this week.
"We are very grateful for this support. It is difficult to come up
with money for these kind of projects," she said.
Metheney said the department has also received a check for $500 from
Wal-Mart. |
