Barbara Jane Buchanan, 70, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Monday, April 16, 2007, at home.
She was born December 2, 1936, in Kanawha County, a daughter of the late John H. and Dorothy Newcomer Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oris Buchanan; one son, William Joseph Hall; three sisters, Eloise Thomas, Jean Spalding and Ann Jackson; one brother, John H. Jackson, Jr.
She was a retired Roane County school bus driver and enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include three sons, Timothy G. Hall and his wife, Lisa, Richard Hall, and Thomas Hall and his wife, Loretta, all of Spencer; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; special niece, Marion Sloan; and special friend, Paul Boggs.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, April 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor John Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Slate Cemetery, Spencer.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
