Except for some local stream flooding and the Little Kanawha River reaching about five feet under the 36 foot flood stage this morning, the area has fared well while parts of southern WV have been devastated by weekend floods.
Sunday, water was in the road, not blocking, on Rt. 5 at Cain's Riffle and on Rt. 7 near Russett, Rt. 16 in the Orma-Chloe area and sections of Henry's Fork.
The US Weather Service is saying water will crest one foot below flood stage at Glenville.
A dam near Hamlin was posing a threat overnight, while several southern counties have been hard hit.
Gov. Joe Manchin has declared a state of emergency.
