| Carl H. Greathouse, 70 of Warren, Ohio, died Friday, April 6, 2007 at
Windsor House of Champion. He was born Tuesday, March 30, 1937 in Wirt County, WV, the son of the late Holly Roscoe Greathouse and the late Ottis
Saltkeld.
He retired in 1990 as a Supervisor for Denman Tire. Carl also worked with
his son Bud at Dinesol Plastics in Niles. He was a member of Masonic Lodge
#462, Newton Falls and an avid golfer.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-Law, Carl "Bud" (Teresa) Greathouse of
Warren, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie (Steve) Betros of Fort Collins,
CO; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary (Carol) Greathouse, Eugene (Mary)
Greathouse, Junior (Waneda) Greathouse; sister and brother-in-law, Gwen
(Harold) Gibson; 5 grandchildren, Chentel and Colton Greathouse, Miranda,
Mariah and Maggie Betros; special friend and companion Roberta Hagemann.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae (Young), his parents, as
well as brothers Larry and Bud Greathouse and sisters Bessie Arthur and
Garnet Hess.
Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 5418 Mahoning Ave, Warren, Ohio, Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 12-noon with Carl's nephew Pastor Dave
Price and Pastor Bill Sprague co-officiating. Masonic Lodge #462 will hold
a Masonic service at 9:45 a.m. Calling hours will begin at 10 a.m.
until 12-noon, Wednesday April 11, 2007 at the church. Interment will
follow in the Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, Ohio 44473.
Carl's illness has had a profound affect on his caregiver Melinda. The
family cannot express strongly enough the peace of mind, love, care and
tenderness Melinda had given to Carl these past 5 weeks. Impacted by
Carl's illness, Melinda is now pursuing a full-time career in nursing. The
family wishes to express their deep gratitude for the supreme care given
daily by Melinda. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to
assist with Melinda's nursing education expenses. Donations can be made to
