| Ava G. Dent, 82, of Eagle Pointe, Parkersburg died Sept. 2, 2001, at
Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 17, 1919, in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Alvin D.
and Sadie Knight Gainer. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Alvin R., Thomas A. and William G. dent, all of
Parkersburg; four sisters and two brothers, Thelma, Jean and Vance of
Parkersburg, Paulean of California, Eulala of North Carolina and Alvin ''Junior''
of Michigan; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur ''Pop'' Dent, in 1993; one
sister, Gretta; and two brothers, Ralph and Veril.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Knights of Pythius
Cemetery, Elizabeth, W.Va., Pastor W.L. Combs officiating. There will be no
visitation.
Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg is handling arrangements.
