James Amyot Morford II, 56, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away March 29, 2007.
Born in Parkersburg, he was a son of the late James Earl and Mary Kay Price Morford. He was a 1968 graduate of Calhoun County High School and later West Virginia University. He was a Community Service Manager for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources in Calhoun, Gilmer and Wirt Counties.
He was a member of Eureka Lodge #40 AF & AM of Grantsville and Knotts Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department. He had coached Little League and Junior League baseball, 4-H soccer, and Pee-Wee basketball, and served as assistant Pee-Wee Basketball coach. He loved tennis and golf. His joy in life was his wife and sons.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Morford and two sons, James Scott Morford and Lucas Aaron Amyot Morford; sister, Kathryn Ellen Gainer of Knoxville, TN; nieces, Kimberly McCarty of Knoxville, Jesica Shuff of Glenville, and Monica Haley of Twenty Nine Palms, CA; great-nephews and niece, Cole, Gunnar and Ty Haley, Kylie and Trey Shuff.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 3 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Mary Zimmer will officiate. Interment will be in the Hiny Cemetery at Linn.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. |
