Maysel L. Badgett Stalnaker, 97, of Minnora, West Virginia, passed away March 26, 2007 at her home.
She was born at Minnora, a daughter of the late Calvin and Alice Parsons Jarvis. She was a longtime member of the Milo Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Oeta Davis of Bristol, TN, and Carol Hudson of Roanoke, VA; 2 sons, Oval Badgett of Newton Falls, OH, and Loy Badgett of Minnora; 4 brothers, Carl Jarvis and Gary Jarvis both of Minnora, Bill Jarvis and Charter Jarvis both of Chloe, WV; 5 sisters, Rilma Chandler of SC, Geneva Badgett of Nobe, WV, Nell DeWeese of Spencer, WV, Bonnie Ellison of Orma, WV, and Madeline Hardway of Chelyan, WV; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Greely Badgett in 1970, her second husband, Euell Stalnaker in 1987; 3 sons, Randall Badgett, and 2 infant sons; a foster son, Dale Starcher; 3 brothers, Cecil, Paris Bruce, and Curt Jarvis; 2 sisters, Dessie Jett, and Olive Grace DeWeese.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 30 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV with Rev. Rick Metheney officiating. Interment will be in the Clark Jarvis Cemetery, Chloe, WV.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
