| James Dean Carpenter, 45, of Spencer, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 11:30 a.m., in the Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington.
He was born April 22, 1961, in Roane County, a son of the late Clyde and Freda Ashby Carpenter.
He was a laborer.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jamie and Devin Koon, April and Jay Jones, and Sierra Carpenter all of Spencer; three brothers, Johnny Carpenter of Spencer, Ronnie Carpenter address unknown, Randall Carpenter of Colman, MI; two sisters, Carolyn Carpenter of Spencer and Barb Cross of Calhoun County; two brothers-in-law, Ronnie Cross and David Drennen; two sisters-in-law, Debra Butler and Pam Carpenter; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 24 at noon in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Clarence E. McKown officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Herman Cemetery, Harmony.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service.
