After local authorities answered a number of domestic violence complaints during the past 72-hours, a Grantsville man was arrested Sunday for domestic battery and domestic assault on a Wigner St. woman.
James "Bub" Jones, 35, went to his girlfriend's residence to obtain some items, according to Deputy Justin Metheney.
Jones is being held in Central Regional Jail on $5,000 cash only bond. He could be facing up to 12 months and a $500 fine on the battery charge.
The complainants said Jones grabbed her "hair and told her he would kill her now."
"He shoved her against the wall and told her he was coming back tonight to cut her throat," the court record says.
Sheriff's deputies Metheney and Groves responded to incident.
