| Fire struck a Spencer apartment complex early today, doing extensive damage to Imperial Gardens.
Fire was erupting from the windows of the two story building when firemen arrived. It is located on Parkersburg Rd. (Rt. 14), not far from Roane General Hospital.
The Spencer-Roane VFD responded quickly to the blaze about 6:20 a.m. with two other area fire departments.
There appeared to be significant damage to the structure, although the fire department brought the blaze under control rather quickly.
Traffic was closed on Rt. 14 most of the early morning.
The State Fire Marshall was responding to the scene. |
