FORKED - A Kanawha County man was stabbed in the face with a fork by his girlfriend, police say.
John Coleman, 41, was under evaluation at Charleston Area Medical Center' General Hospital, said a hospital operator.
The incident arose out of a domestic argument, said Charleston Police.
Coleman reportedly got in the face of his girlfriend, Tara Hill, while she was cooking dinner, police said.
During the ensuing argument, Hill stabbed Coleman with a fork.
Police said
"He was the aggressor."
MERCER MAN FIRES GUN AT WIFE - A Mercer County man is in jail, accused of pulling a gun on his wife and firing it. Raymond Powell, 48, shot his wife early Monday morning at their home near Bluewell.
Deputies say after the shooting, Karen Powell, 51, and her elderly mother left the house and went through the neighborhood, trying to get help.
Press reports indicated they had problems with someone responding, but eventually a neighbor answered the door.
Raymond Powell came out of the house and surrendered to police.
He faces numerous charges, including malicious assault.
Karen Powell was flown to Charleston Area Medical Center.
MORE DRUG STORE HOLD-UPS -
Police were searching for a man who robbed a pharmacy in eastern Kanawha County on Monday.
A suspect walked into a Rite Aid pharmacy in Belle around 8:45 p.m., brandished a small black pistol, and fled on foot with some OxyContin pills.
During one hold-up, the man said he could no longer afford the pills and therefore he had decided to rob the drug store.
