Jared Haught competed in the 30th annual West Virginia Junior States Wrestling Championships held in Beckley on March 3rd and 4th. He won Champion in the 11 and 12 year old division at 115 pounds. He had a tournament record of 3-0. Jared wrestles for the Parkersburg Cougars wrestling club.
In the Championship Quarter-Finals he wrestled Seth Lewis of Midland Jr. Knights and won by a 6-2 decision. In the Championship Semi-Finals round Jared wrestled Steven Brogle of South Parkersburg and won by a 5-3 decision. In the Finals Jared wrestled Joshua Bombard of East Fairmont and won by a 4-2 decision.
Jared is the son of Tracy and Patty Haught of Big Springs. He is the
grandson of Randall and Mila Arnold of Arnoldsburg and June and the
late Wilbur Haught of Big Springs.
