Russell V. Kuhl, 94, of Normantown, Gilmer County died Aug. 25, 2001, at
Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.
He was born in Gilmer County, a son of the late Phillip A. and Mary Bennett
Kuhl. He was a retired employee of the Hope Natural Gas Company, retiring in
1969 with 28 years of service, and was a farmer. He was a member of Mount
Pisgah Baptist Church at Stumptown for many years and served in the church as
a trustee.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Deloris and Dean Furr of Letter
Gap; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Ruth Kuhl of Ashland, Ohio,
Billy and Radene Kuhl of Walker, W.Va., and Bryle and Linda Kuhl of
Barberton, Ohio; and one daughter-in-law, Mescal Kuhl of Normantown,
He was the loving grandfather of nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren,
and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edith Jewell Collins Kuhl; two
sons, Bernard D. Kuhl and Ronal Lee Kuhl; six brothers; and three sisters. He is
the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church,
Stumptown, the Rev. Mark Watkins and Elder Charles Fisher officiating.
Interment in Collins Community Cemetery, Stumptown. Visitation is from 3-9
p.m. today at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville and for one hour prior to
services Tuesday at the church.
