Lowell M. Cottrell, 70, of Crossroads, West Virginia, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
He was born August 22, 1936, at Shock, WV, a son of the late Dawson Cottrell and Roxie Rider Cottrell.
Mr. Cottrell was a retired contractor and was a member of the Mannington Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife, Leona Watts Cottrell; five sons, Rick Cottrell of Mannington, J. R. Cottrell of Dunlow, Ronnie Cottrell of Hundred, Donnie Cottrell of Fairmont, and Neil Frazier of Arkansas; one daughter, Vickie Moore of Mannington; two brothers, Hampton "Hap" Cottrell of Bula and Clyde Cottrell of Fairmont; 20
grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Opal Cottrell; and one infant grandson, Matthew Lowell Cottrell.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville, WV from 5-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday with the Pastor Herman George and Pastor William Hines officiating. Interment will follow in the Cottrell Cemetery.
