James Albert White, 70, of New Smyrna Beach died Sunday, August 19, 2001 in New Smyrna Beach.
He was born in Marlington, WV, and spent most of his childhood in Grantsville, graduating from Calhoun County High Shool in 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy in Korea. He then worked 19 years as a retail manager with McCrory's Department Stores and 22 years with Beall's Department Stores. He was an avid golfer at New Smyrna Beach Golf and Country Club and a Methodist.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alice; son, Mark of Palm Harbor; daughters, Cynthia Herald of Palm Harbor, Lisa Wavra of Melbourne, Debra White of New Smyrna Beach; brother Eugene of Orlando; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
