| Gene L. Clark, 78, of Marietta, Ohio and Letherbark, Calhoun County, West Virginia, died Friday, February 9, 2007, in the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta.
He was born January 3, 1929 at Akron, Ohio, the only son of Oral C. and Cleo Parsons Clark.
Gene was a retired 35 year employee of General Motors, Parma, OH. He was a member of the United Auto Workers and the Cleveland Baptist Church, Brooklyn, OH. Also, he was a 50 year member of the Linden Lodge No. 83, A.F. & A.M., Linden, WV.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, E. Josephine Brannon Clark of Marietta, formerly of Spencer, WV; two daughters, Carolyn Clark of Cleveland, Ohio and Janet Kazmarek of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Richard Stewart, John Cory Cannon, Kristopher, Kevin and Jason "Bo" Kazmarek; two great grandchildren, Brandan and Kyle Stewart.
A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Keith R. Kapple officiating. Burial, with Masonic graveside rites, will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday. |
