| Opal Wise Vandale, 85, of Grantsville, West Virginia died January 29, 2007 at her home after an extended illness.
She was born October 8, 1921 in Wirt County, WV a daughter of the late Robert and Lumie Wise. She was a homemaker and attended the Five Forks United Methodist Church.
She is survived by six daughters, Barbara Norman, Kay Vandale, and Corrine Stottsberry all of Grantsville, Sally Goff of Elizabeth, WV, Madeline Goff of Parkersburg, WV, and Bonnie Lou Ickes of Cross Lanes, WV; two sons, William Edward Vandale and Jimmy Vandale both of Grantsville; caretaker and friend, Danny Grogg of Grantsville; one brother, Robert Wise of Grantsville; 35 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Vandale; two sons, Ray and Tom Vandale; five infant children; two sisters, Arizona McCord and Irene Henthorn; and four brothers, George, Bill, Sherman, and John Wise.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, West Virgina with Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Wirt County.
Visiting hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. |
