Fire roared through Wolf Run structures
By Bob Weaver
Fire roared through a small house and garage on Wolf Run last night, both structures are a total loss. A nearby house was spared.
Part of the building was already on the ground when firemen arrived, using water from tankers to fight the blaze.
Shortly after their arrival, there was at least one loud explosion. Firemen indicated there were oxygen bottles in the building.
John McCutcheon said his wheelchair-bound father lived in the small house, but he was in Indiana visiting.
"I'm so grateful he was away," McCutcheon said, unaware of what could have started the blaze.
The Upper West Fork and Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the call shortly after 7 p.m.
Wolf Run is a side road off Rt. 16 near Orma.
Calhoun EMS also responded to the scene.
