Cub Scout Pack 436 under the leadership of Paul Funk held their annual Pinewood Derby race at the First Baptist Church of Grantsville Thursday evening.
The Derby race is a double elimination race designed to teach young boys about good sportsmanship and hard work. The boys are preparing for the Davis Anderson Pinewood Derby Race at the Grand Central Mall February 3.
Eli Stump had a very fast car taking first place without losing a single race. Jeff Miller came in second and Evan Cunningham was third. Other participants included Trenton Cunningham, Dustin Turner, Michael Fulks, Ryan Little, Matthew Rush, and William Baker.
All participating scouts received a ribbon, and patch.
