| Now there's a mayoral contest in Grantsville's town election, former mayor Gary Knight has filed for the position, running against incumbent Wilbert Kerby.
The latest council person to file for re-election is JoAnn Shock.
Former town recorder Jane Wease has filed for the position, with current recorder Roger Propst announcing he will not seek re-election.
New seekers Stephanie Ferguson and Helen Jordan have filed for town council, with incumbents Gaylen Duskey, Cheryl Cheesbrew, and Charlie Whipkey.
The filing deadline is Saturday, with the town office being open all day (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) to assist any citizen who wishes to file.
The election is in June for the two year positions. |
