Grantsville's town council appointed councilman Ambros "Jerry" Collins to serve as
temporary Mayor until the next regular meeting on September 4. The meeting was
held Friday evening. Mayor Don Harris submitted his resignation earlier this week,
citing conflict with the council. Harris said he would still be supportive of the council
in their efforts to help the town. (SEE story on August 17)
Collins said a decision would be made on how to fill the position, with the possibility
of a new election.
