RAILROAD TRACK ARGUMENT LEADS TO STABBING - Police are questioning a Kanawha county man regarding a stabbing Wednesday night in London, WV.
Police arrested Maurice Tyrone McDaniels, 53, after witnesses say two men were arguing on the railroad tracks. One pulled out a knife.
He stabbed the other man in the back. The victim ran across Route 60 to a nearby store and called the police.
The stabbing suspect ran before police made it to the scene.
HUNTINGTON ARMED ROBBERIES - Huntington police are investigating two armed robberies Wednesday evening they believe were committed by the same man.
The first robbery was at the CVS Pharmacy on Washington Avenue in Huntington. Police say a man with a knife and walking with a limp entered the pharmacy and demanded money.
Across town about 15 minutes later the Papa John's Pizza on Hal Greer Blvd. was robbed. A man fitting the same description, right down to the limp, showed a knife and grabbed a small amount of cash from the register.
In this case, employees chased the man from the store, but lost him.
SO. CHARLESTON COUPLE HELD-UP - A couple was robbed by a man with a gun Tuesday night in South Charleston.
It happened outside a bar on 6th Avenue. Police say a man came up to the couple, held a gun to the man's side and demanded his money.
The crook got away with $50 dollars and a knife from the man's pocket.
The thief drove off in a white Hyundai driving east on MacCorkle Avenue. Police say he had another man and woman inside the car.
