Crews of firemen from local and regional fire departments, at least seven, were battling fires at a Save-A-Lot grocery store and the Dollar General Store, in seperate parts of town.

911 dispatchers said the fire at the Dollar General Store had spread to other buildings in a plaza.

One report said at least one building had collapsed.

A source on scene say 100s were watching the blazes.

There is no information yet about what caused the fires.
