| Nathaniel L. "Tater" Lyons, 28, of Linn, Gilmer County, passed away December 25, 2006 at Morgantown.
Born at Weston, April 22, 1978, he was a son of Nina Wilfong of Linn and the late David Lyons and a stepson of John Wilfong of Linn.
Surviving in addition to his parents are 2 brothers, David M. Lyons and his wife Roseanne of Burnsville, and J.D. Wilfong and his fiancée Kathy Riffle of Copley Road, Weston; 2 sisters, Joanie Wilfong of Harrisville, Ohio and Stephanie Wilfong of Northeast, PA; several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles M. Lyons and was a grandson of the late Robert and Ruth Lyons and Russell and Losie Carter.
Nate was a special young man who was loved by everyone. He was a 1997 graduate of Gilmer County High School, was an Eagle Scout and assistant Scout Master and farmer. He was a devoted member of the Sand Fork Church of God of Prophecy.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 30 at Sand Fork Church of God of Prophecy. Rev. Bryan Groves will officiate. Interment will be in the McHenry Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
