| Saphrona E. Roush, 81, of Spencer, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006, in the Miletree Center, Spencer.
She was born December 13, 1925, at Newton, a daughter of the late Michael James and Anna Jane Moore Drake.
She was a retired nurse's aid at the former Spencer Hospital and the Guthrie Center. Also, she was a member of the Reamer Gospel Tabernacle, Clendenin.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Lester and Doris Smith of Marietta, OH; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Lewis Wilson of Hurricane, Sallie and Jim Brown of Charleston, Norma and Larry Ferrell of Spencer, Judy and Neil Ferrell of Looneyville; two sisters, Maggie Drake of Newton and Gladys Chapman of Spencer; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday, December 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Leon B. Strickland officiating. Burial will be in the Keen Cemetery, Newton.
