The Rev. William Gladson Grim, 89, of Willows Nursing Home, formerly of Elizabeth, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital of Parkersburg.
He was born in Creston, W.Va., the son of the late John W. and Mamie King Grim. He was a member of the Two Ripple Baptist Church and was a retired custodian of the Wirt County schools.
Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Eleanor Richards Grim; five children, Margaret (Ira) Lynch of Creston, William Gale (Diana) Grim of Spring City, Tenn., Roger Grim of Vera Beach, Fla., Terry (Connie) Grim of Elizabeth and Pam (Tony) Terretti of Vinton, Va.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; a sister; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Matheny Pomroy Funeral Home, Elizabeth, with Jim Lynch officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Grove Cemetery of Palestine, W.Va. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today and prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
