Twenty-three non-profit organizations in the Mid-Ohio Valley have received grant funding from the Sisters of St. Joseph Charitable Fund.
At its fall meeting, the Charitable Fund's Board of Directors approved funding for projects that support health and wellness issues, advocate collaborative efforts, and demonstrate growth or expansion of the agency - all combined to promote healthy and sustainable communities.
Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center in Grantsville will receive $25,000 for mammography equipment, partial funding to purchase and install mammography equipment at the center so that this service is available and accessible to women in this rural area.
"The true work of the Charitable Fund is found in the grant recipients and the exciting and meaningful work they are doing," states Sister Jane Harrington, Executive Director of the Charitable Fund.
"The grants awarded in this and previous cycles," she continued, "reflect programs or projects that will make a measurable difference in the health and wellness of the residents in our service area."

Roane County Family Health Care - Spencer, WV; $46,500.00
