A Clay County middle school is one of eleven schools in West Virginia getting paid for getting healthy.
A total of $50,000 has been awarded to the schools for developing programs that encourage students to get active and eat healthy.
The grant money comes from West Virginia On The Move, which seeks to promote better health in the state by encouraging people to exercise and eat right.
The grant money will be used for everything from encouraging people to eat more vegetables to building walking trails on school property. |
