James A. Pierson, 16, is asleep in Jesus on Aug. 8, 2001.
Born in Akron, he was a student at Mogadore High School.
James was a one-of-a-kind person who loved the Lord. He was
a member of the Lighthouse Gospel Church, where he served
as an usher. He was very active in the Youth Department, and
was a caring and loving friend and an inspiration to all. Our lives
will be empty and hollow without him.
Preceded in death by his niece, Amythest Long, and
grandfathers, Robert Pierson and Lambert Starcher, he is
survived by his Mom and Dad, Delsie and Robert Pierson;
sister, Ruby (David) Long; grandmothers, Virginia Pierson and
Ruby Starcher; niece, Emerald Long; nephew, Joshua Long;
godfathers, Willis Tedrow and Clark Starcher; best buddy and
friend for life, James Ridgeway; and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services Friday, 6 p.m., at Eckard-Baldwin Sanctuary
Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. John Keys officiating.
Visitation at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. Graveside
services Saturday, 6 p.m., at Coen Cemetery at Nebo, WV.
